Gathering

The other way to make gil by gathering is to run the Duty Roulette, which rewards players with a mixture of experience, Grand Company seals, Cracked Clusters, Mhachi materia, and a lot of Gil. The roulettes change daily and are a great way to level up as a PLD, WAR or DRK while making money.

Finally, the final way to make gil by gathering is through the Market Board. New items always sell for a high price and being the first to craft and gather them can make you a lot of money. Retainer Ventures

Most players know they can make Gil in FFXIV through crafting or slaying monsters, but what some don't realize is that having the right retainer can also be very profitable. This is especially true for those who are intermediate crafters. If you check the market regularly and only sell items that can reliably be sold for at least 1,000 Gil on the Market Board this is a great way to make money.

This is particularly true for Glamour gear and some of the other special items that are only available on the Market Board. Another good option is to send your retainer on a Hunting Venture. This can be quite profitable as it usually leads to a decent amount of Minions that you can sell for Gil.

Market Board

While not an instant-gratification method, players looking for a consistent flow of Gil should definitely check out the Market Board. There are always new items to sell and the best times to do it are right after a major update. For example, the addition of new casual gear that can be glamoured will quickly drive prices up for those who have the highest level Crafters and Gatherers.

It is also worth checking out the Market Board if you're not able to get enough of a particular ingredient to complete your leves. Buying the ingredients on the market can be more cost-effective than purchasing them from your Grand Company vendor.

The aforementioned tips should help players get as much in-game currency as possible to power-up their characters and make them even better. Getting enough Gil will allow players to buy high-level equipment, customise their character, and even purchase a house. Just remember that it's never worth wasting time gathering materials when you could be making more gil with other activities instead.

Glamour Gear

FFXIV's main currency is Gil, which you make through a number of activities. These include dungeons, guildleves, quests, and the Market Board. However, the best way to make Gil in FFXIV is through crafting and/or gathering.

The Glamour Gear system allows players to cast the appearance of any equipment they own over another item of the same type (i.e. weapon, armor, accessories, etc). The glamour system was originally fairly complex, but it was simplified with Patch 2.2 and streamlined to make it one of the game's core features.

Glamour is a great way to make gil, but it's important to know when to use it.
