Dryer would not speculate on the value in Madden NFL 24 Films and the amount of revenue it generated. The increasing popularity, and profit, of the league and its teams suggest Dryer that the photos of former players' likenesses are worth more than what they currently receive which is nothing and is more than what they could receive in an agreement that was proposed by the league in the coming year.

It was reported that Madden NFL 24 suggested an agreement in the spring of 2013. The settlement would deposit $50 million, with an estimated amount of $8 million in legal fees and taxes, into a fund to support retired players. The settlement money would be distributed over a period of eight years, and will go to approved charities that provide support to initiatives for retired players. Additionally, it would create an agency to license retired players which could, ideally, generate additional income for the fund.

What's working is getting direct money to the former players-Dryer

Many prominent former players have weighed in support of the settlement and include Hall of Fame running back Jim Brown. Jim Brown, the Hall of Fame running back has a board of retired players that would be tasked with allocating funds from the settlement.

An federal court from Minnesota approved the settlement plus more than 20.000 retired players have until Aug. 30 to agree to the deal or opt out of the deal. Dryer is telling his colleagues not to sign the agreement.

"They're forcing you to participate in a model of business with the league which will bring in money for former participants," Dryer explained. "But these business models have proved in the past to not be sustainable."

The plaintiffs also take issue with what they perceive to be the lack of transparency within the settlement and also how it's going to work.

"We don't understand how they could have come up with $50 million," Dryer said. "The money goes to an account, the account will give it existing charities and then the charity, magically, manages to give the money to players. I am not interested in being engaged in a market I'm not buy madden 24 coins understanding.
